Renaissance Festival

In November, we went to the Renaissance Festival near Houston.
It was a once in a lifetime experience. ha!
Great for people watching!
I love roasted corn.
(Side Story: I had braces when I met Ronnie...while we were dating he took me to Six Flags aka Astro World. Well at the time, I hated roller coasters and I told him there was NOO way I would ride them. He then made me a deal...if I would rode one roller coaster (with loops) then he would buy me roasted corn. WHAT A DEAL! Well, remember when I told you I had braces.....I tried so hard not to let him see the corn stuck all in my teeth. He said he felt bad for me, but just acted like he didn't notice the mess in my mouth. We still laugh every time I eat corn on the cob.)
Robin Hood

Ronnie's dad insisted that we participated in all the activities.
Even if we were the only adults in line.

Pay a dollar...get your head chopped off.
Doesn't Ronnie's dad look convincing with his big smile? :)

Zoom up on Ronnie's face...his tongue is sticking out.
Nice touch, babe!

About to kill myself.
I'm thinking...Hope this doesn't feel like a roller coaster!

October

Beginning of October, my mom and I traveled to Canton to SHOP! My friend Keri invited us to join and I'm so glad we did. It was overwhelming, but I did find a few items! I got a cute fall wreath and a few house decorations. I think I will for sure go back next year!

The next weekend Ronnie and I traveled to Lubbock for Homecoming with several college friends.
It's crazy how much Lubbock has changed!

I finished the chairs sometime in October, but I still need to do touch ups. We rocked in them on Halloween Night waiting for trick-or-treaters.

Also on Halloween, Ronnie chipped his front tooth.
Luckily it was his fake tooth. I couldn't help but giggle inside every time I looked at him. The funniest part was that he kept asking me if we could go to the grocery store and by him fake teeth. I said "you mean dentures?" He really thought you could just go to Wal-Mart buy dentures. Did he think no one would notice? haha Poor guy...he was so sad when I told him I don't think they sell dentures.

I should've brought him this:

home-work

I bought these rocking chairs at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago. I even got the man to go down in the price! My plan is to paint them black and find cute pillows! Can't wait to start rockin'.

Here are some things I have redone. I wish I had more before pictures :(
BEFORE:

AFTER:
This was my parents old dining-room table. It was a really shiny cherry wood. Over the summer, my mom and I sanded the table in the garage (SO HOT!), and then carried the table back inside to prime (too humid to paint outside!), carried it back outside to sand, then back inside to paint black....then the paint wasn't smooth enough, so we carried back outside (in the blazin' heat!) to sand, carried back inside to paint and back outside to sand and finally inside to paint! It was exhausting.....but worth it!

Don't even get me started on the chairs! Pretty much same drill as the table only times 6! The two chairs with arms are covered in green fabric and the four others are black and white floral.

Lastly, this is our entry table. It wasn't nearly as hard to paint. I've decided that I don't mind painting, but I could do without the sanding and priming! I think I'll leave that job to Mr. Cherry :)

It's not nice...

....to post videos of your husband after he took happy pills for his wisdom teeth surgery.

Or video him struggling to eat his frosty...(which I did spoon feed him, but it was useless!)
excuse his burp...he really does have good manners! ;)

Or lastly text message our family and friends pictures of him when he is sleeping.

Good thing I married someone who has a great sense of humor! He actually wanted me to video and take pictures. Not sure if he wanted me to post it on my blog....but I'll ask for forgiveness later! ;)
Isn't he cute chubby?

Wave your Flag

Hope everyone had a great Independence Day!
We took advantage of the July 4th sales and bought a refrigerator!

I also made THE flag cake.
It's such a fun tradition!

We had a BBQ and watch fireworks with our small group!

I wanted to get married on July 4th.  I decided this four years ago (2005).
I was told the next time the fourth would be on a Saturday would be in 2009.
Seemed like forever....
That was my plan....so glad we didn't wait.
